The Tarheels Chapter of the US Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association (NCVA) is a member chapter comprised of retirees now residing in North Carolina (taking full advantage of that well earned tax break on their retirement). This chapter has been created to address the desire by NCVA members residing in North Carolina to find a better way to communicate and interact locally in between NCVA sponsored national events.

The TNCVA is a non-profit fraternal organization whose functions include:

1. Providing fraternal, social and recreational activities for members and guest.
    

2. Encouraging and supporting the preservation of the history of cryptology by members of the association and appropriate Federal Agencies.
